Description
This Standard establishes minimum requirements formaterials in the construction of sanitary waste valves(hereinafter referred to as “the valve”) for use as analternate to tubular p-traps, and prescribes minimumtest requirements for the performance of the valve,together with methods of marking and identification.This Standard does not define the requirements for productsto be used in urinals or water closets. It is notintended that products meeting this Standard will beused in a urinal or water closet.
The provisions of this Standard are not intended toprevent the use of any alternate material or method ofconstruction provided any such alternate meets theintent of this Standard.
