Description
Volume B30.29 includes provisions that apply to theconstruction, operation, inspection, testing, and maintenanceof powered self-erect tower cranes that adjustoperating radius by means of a trolley traversing a jib.These may be horizontal, elevated, articulating, or telescoping,and used for vertical lifting and lowering offreely suspended, unguided loads that consist of equipmentand materials.
Self-erect tower cranes have vertical or nearly verticalmasts that are bottom slewing and mounted on fixed,traveling, or mobile bases. The cranes are capable ofmoving or being moved from jobsite to jobsite fullyassembled or nearly fully assembled.
