Description
This Standard provides requirements for the design anduse of hoisting, rigging, and transporting equipment usedin the delivery of nuclear facility components to a nuclearfacility’s point of receipt and the handling of such componentsuntil the start of the facility’s operating phase,defined as the point of initial fuel load. The requirementsof this Standard are also applicable to the design and use ofhoisting, rigging, and transporting equipment for modificationsat operating nuclear facilities when such equipmentis not already controlled by existing facilityprocedures (e.g., procedures for controlling heavyloads or implementing maintenance rules).
